Chris carmack gay

It was a large moment when land star Will Lexington came out as gay in the season 3 finale of ABC's beat show "Nashville," and the actor behind the role, Chris Carmack, told HuffPost Live on Monday that he wanted to do it justice.

Carmack, who recently performed at GLAAD's "Concert For Adore And Acceptance" during the CMA Festival, told host Marc Lamont Hill that he always assumed his "Nashville" personality was gay.

"Each age I'd get the episode, [I'd think], 'Is this the one? Is this the one?'" Carmack said of waiting for Will to come out.

The performer described the added pressure that came with portraying such a turning aim in the episode.

"This is a part and this is a script that when I earn it, I consider to myself, 'I want to receive this right,'" he said. "So I wasn't nervous because I didn't consider I could execute the job, I just wanted to do it right. Fortunately, I had Callie Khouri directing that episode, she's the creator of the series, and she really helped me find a nuanced performance."

Carmack said it's important to reflect in well-liked culture what's on America's mind, which, for now, is equality for the lesbian, gay, multi-attracted and transgender society.

"This

That was a cliffhanger if we've ever seen one, y'all.

The "Nashville" Season 3 finale on Wednesday was chock-full of twists, turns, drama and tears. Deacon (Charles Esten) and his sister Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) went in for liver transplant surgery, but just when everything seemed to be going OK, Rayna (Connie Britton) got some bad news. (Now we get to stay all summer to discover out what the heck happened). Juliette's (Hayden Panettiere) postpartum depression took a major toll on those closest to her and Teddy (Eric Close) was arrested on corruption charges. Plus, Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) finally realized their feelings for each other (or did they?!) and, of course, Jeff (Oliver Hudson) proved once again he's a slimy, two-timing sneak. But one of the biggest moments from the final episode was when Will (Chris Carmack) came out as gay to the public, and told his partner Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey) that he loves him.

Carmack, who plays Will Lexington on the hit ABC show, chatted with HuffPost Entertainment about the finale, and what we can expect from Season 4 next tumble.

"I want Will to be out and joyful and still a enormous country star and peop
