Macaulay culkin gay

Quick -- which of the Culkin brothers is this?

Hard to tell, isn't it?

The Culkin Dynasty began with Home Alone (1990), a Christmas movie about a young boy (10-year old Macaulay Culkin) accidentally left at home when his family goes away for the holidays.  The top production of the year, and the top-grossing live comedy of all time, it propelled Macaulay into child superstardom.

He grew up slim, pretty, and androgynous -- everyone assumed that he was gay -- with a heavy-lidded, world-weary, knowing expression that actors often exploit to denote depravity.

Who knew that there was a whole family of Culkins back home, including four boys who would all develop up thin, lovely, and androgynous, with the trademark world-weary, knowing expression.  I keep assuming that they're gay, and going to their movies, expecting them to play queer characters.  But they almost never do.

 1. Macaulay (born 1980).  No gay characters, but his Michael Alig identifies as gay in Party Monster (#6 on my list of the 10 Queer Movies I Hated).  He's more of an anything-for-a-thrill decadent who almost Finds True Love with a girl.  Macaulay also played a handicapped decadent

Welcome to the Lovely Life of Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song

Have you heard? London Tipton is marrying Kevin McCallister. It’s the crossover of your after-school appointment TV dreams, the joining of two young elder dynasties, Disney shacking up with John Hughes. But first, they have to find a wedding planner.

“Do you not want to unite me?” Macaulay Culkin asks his betrothed, Brenda Song, over lunch. His not-wife of almost a decade giggles at the suggestion. She’s been wearing a ring (bigger than my apartment and also nicer than my apartment) for the past several years. “I’m decent if we don’t,” promises Macaulay—no, please, call him Mack—“I just want to know.”

“We talked about eloping,” Brenda applications as explanation for the delay. “But I was love, ‘If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there....’” Mack shakes his chief at the reflection of hurting the feelings of his almost-mother-in-law. “I wouldn’t even!”

Mila Kunis on dating Macaulay Culkin: 'You couldn't saunter down the street with him'

If you know your celeb romance history, you remember well that Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin dated for a very long age. And the experience of dating a former youngster star, even  several years after his big hits like Home Alone, was as crazy as you might think, according to Kunis.

Macaulay Culkin Portrays Killer Club Kid

Sept. 5 -- After a nine-year hiatus, Macaulay Culkin is returning to the big screen, but he won't be playing the sort of fresh-faced, lovable nature that made him a infant star in the Home Alone films. He's starring in a low-budget independent docu-drama about a gay, cross-dressing, sociopathic killer.

In Party Monster, Culkin portrays Michael Alig, a twisted sort of Pied Piper, whose escapades eventually lead him from New York's club scene, to a grisly killing, and, ultimately, to prison. It is a true and truly bizarre story.

Culkin, 23, says the role was a doubt, but he was intrigued by Alig's incredible story. "It was just so outrageous, and you wouldn't believe it unless it was true, so I just had to be a part of it."

In the film, Culkin adopts Alig's effeminate characteristics and eccentricities. But he says he isn't concerned how this will be received by his fans. For the record, Culkin is not gay, but he says he wouldn't be bothered
