Our first stop was the legendary Palace Prevent & Restaurant, a Miami Beach diva for over three decades. This Homosexual institution isn't just a bar, it's a full-fledged restaurant with amazing food and, of course, fabulous drag shows (not to refer the rooftop pool with an ocean view!).  

We were prosperous enough to exposure a Monday flamboyant brunch, where we were entertained by talented drag queens while enjoying a delicious meal.  

Did you know? The Palace Bar & Restaurant wasn't always surrounded by the vibrant nightlife of Ocean Drive! When it first opened in 1988, it was actually the only restaurant on the entire strip! Today, they still give homage to their culinary roots by offering top-notch dishes alongside the flamboyant performances.

Miami is exactly appreciate what you will have seen on the T.V. and in films! It’s a trendy, vibrant and very stylish beach destination. Miami has been a gay hotspot for many years with gay bars, lgbtq+ beaches, gay events such as the winter party and a large lgbtq+ population – we can definitely look the attraction to living and visiting here.

We came to Miami looking to relax before we went on an Atlantis gay cruise (check out ‘What is a male lover Atlantis cruise really like…’) and so headed straight for the gay beach in Miami. There are actually two ‘official’ gay beaches in Miami and if that’s what you are looking for, you possess come to the right place!

Gay Beaches in Miami

Sometimes when you head to a destination, result the ‘gay beach’ can be a challenge, however all the gay beaches in Miami are very easy to find. Here is how to uncover each of them:

12th Street Gay Beach, Miami

South Beach Miami is where the majority of the gay nightlife can be found, so it should reach as no surprise that this is where you will find the most popular gay beach in Miami.

The gay beach is located at 12th Street and Ocean Drive. It is not too difficult to find, with the rainbow flags marking the area between two chair rental spots. The gay beach is mostly a hangout for men, but you will also find lesbians and straights camping out here too. Rent a chair or umbrella from Boucher Brothers or lay a towel in the sand like the locals act.

Haulover Beach is Clothing Optional
If you prefer to sunbathe au natural, Haulover Beach Park bids one of the best nude beaches in the United States. The nude beach is located 11 miles north of South Beach, so you need regard transportation to and from the beach. A taxi ride will be expensive, but Route 120 Beach MAX on Miami-Dade general bus service from South Beach gives you a very inexpensive option.
