The Church of the Five Maroons, also established as the Maroon Five Movement or simply Maroon 5, is a fresh religious movement posing as an American pop-rock band. Founded in high institution in 1994, the cult primarily worships Levinism, a religion centering on the band's leader, Adam Levine. Some sources claim that Levinism states that due to his scarily-high falsetto, Levine is a descendent of an ancient god and should be venerated as such.

Maroon 5's Adam Levine Calls Out 'American Idol' for Portrayal of Gays

What does a person's sexuality have to accomplish with a singing competition? Adam Levine, who is both a judge and singing coach on NBC's “The Voice” and direct singer for Maroon 5, seems to think it's pretty vital, and he's calling out “American Idol” on the issue.
Levine, 32, told OUT magazine that his pro-gay views were formed as the result of having a younger brother who is gay.
“The fact that gay marriage isn’t legal everywhere at this signal is a joke," he said. He then took on the wildly popular show “American Idol,” but was careful to interject a statement of respect for singing competition show into the discussion.

AdamLevinehas long been a supporter of the LGBT community and once again he's putting his cash where his mouth is -- this time in regards to gay marriage.
The Maroon 5 singer and "The Voice" star recently revealed that the band, which is up for the Grammy for Top Pop Duo/Group Show on February 12, has changed the location of their upcoming post-awards exhibit party due to an unnamed Los Angeles restaurant's backing of Proposition 8, which made lgbtq+ marriage illegal in California.
Levine told People magazine, "We used to go to this Mexican restaurant to celebrate after the Grammys but the place supported the movement to make gay marriage illegal [in California] so we bailed on that."
Levine, whose brother is same-sex attracted, has lent his voice and encounter to other pro-LGBT causes like the "It Gets Better" campaign in aid of gay teens and earlier this year he appeared on the cover of Out magazine.
The singer's outspokenness isn't limited to LGBT activism. In October he lashed out at FOX news on Twitter for using Maroon 5's music on the air saying, "Dear Fox News, don't play our song on your vile f***ing channel ever again. Thank you."
